This hilarious 18th century English satire pokes fun at an eccentric aristocratic social circle and their snooty culture of gossip and extravagance.
Since 1777, The School for Scandal has been delighting and shocking audiences with its sparkling Wit, its romantic Charm, its laughable Sentiment and its dangerous Truths. A surprisingly modern and familiar world of Gossips, devoted Friends, backstabbing Hypocrites, jealous Husbands and true Lovers will win you over body and soul. So, come and enjoy this entertaining and seductive study of Hypocrisy wielded by Professionals — and rejoice that you are not the target!

One of Shakespeare’s greatest dramas — mystery, family, politics and love are explosively combined, erupting into a wild, unforgettable climax. A young prince must quickly learn to face adulthood when his father’s ghost urges him to avenge his untimely death. Hamlet must navigate the dark waters of his own grief and the treacherous landscape of a corrupt state to expose his father’s murderer. In an attempt to gain time while investigating the goings on of the Castle Elsinore, the prince feigns madness. Caught in the chaos is Ophelia who, deeply in love with Hamlet, must choose between him and loyalty to her father. To heighten the tension, down every dark corridor spying ears prepare to expose the secrets of the royal family. Kristin Horton directs; featuring Christopher Peltier as Hamlet and Eliza Stoghton as Ophelia. Hoopla HAMLET Review Iowa Theatre Blog HAMLET Review HAMLET Photos
